Nana revisits her journey to chieftancy — moving to the US with an unlikely Ohioan husband, a head chief's attempt to block her succession, and an unshakable devotion to her people.

Broms is a New York-based filmmaker and creative director whose work pairs the honesty of documentary with the visual risk-taking of music videos. Drawn to the surreal, she turns internal experience into dreamlike images, often with a touch of absurd humor. Her work centers stories of identity from the margins of the mainstream, with a special pull toward women’s voices. A decade in music marketing and creative development, including seven years at Columbia Records, taught her how to connect story and audience from the first idea.
